Wooden Boat Renovations & Repairs
The Otter Workshop is now able to offer the renovation and repair of wooden boats. Harry has a background in historic boat repair having gained his first professional experience working at the Exeter Maritime Museum, while Hugh is a skilled and experienced shipwright and trained at the International Boatbuilding Training College.
Boats of up to 20ft can be accommodated in the workshop alongside the River Tamar, while work on larger boats is usually completed on site.

Harry and Hugh share a life long love of traditional wooden boats, with each having gained professional training and expertise in their repair and restoration.
TRADITIONAL METHODS
Restorations and repairs are completed using traditional methods and materials to sensitively restore and preserve as much of the original materials as possible.
FLEXIBILITY
The Otter Workshop provides a well equipped, weatherproof space for most projects, but if it's more appropriate to work on your boat in situ, Harry and Hugh can bring their tools and expertise to you.
