Here are some very large and heavy barn doors made for a Dartmoor barn, a real challenge, as the frame and hinges were grossly out of line!

The completed doors.

These doors were constructed of green oak to ensure good rot resistance and fastened with marine grade stainless screws and bolts to resist the corrosive action of oak on steel/iron.

In time the doors will age to a silver tone and allowances have been made for the inevitable movement due to the damp Dartmoor weather.

Barn door handles.

A bracing joint with marine grade stainless steel fixtures.

Turnbuckle.
